search for air bag leak
I have a leak somewhere on my fr. bags. The 2 bags are on one switch so the line goes from the switch to the fr. driver side and tee,s off to to the fr. bags. Has worked well like this for years except a pesky leak. The dr. bag looses air first and then takes away the air from the pass. bag. So ,is this telling me the leak is somewhere on the pass side ? Hope you understand my little story

Re: search for air bag leak
In this situation, you'll need to isolate for that determination.
My approach would be to set each side up for a manual fill & testing. A Schrader valve @ each side & some short lengths of air line will allow you to get the task done. Fill them to your typical pressures then wait & watch. If one side doesn't start losing air psi, that would indicate the leak is somewhere in the supply side from (after) the switch.

Re: search for air bag leak
thanks, I don,t know the dynamics of air pressure. I wasn, sure that maybe the leak was on the pass, side and the dr. bags was loosing air to compensate for air loss on pass. side being that bag is at the end or the line. Was hoping it was telling me it was dr. bag. It takes a week to lose about 40 psi from 100 psi.

Re: search for air bag leak
I had a leak in one of my rear bags and messed with the fitting for weeks before it dawned on my to check the actual bag.
I changed my fittings to directly screwed in schrader valves (you can get two for a few bucks on amazon) like Scoti said and then switch the side to side after a day to make sure it wasnt them. The bag was leaking but it was so slow I couldnt tell where it was leaking-even with soap and water.

Re: search for air bag leak
In ac we use this, and with enough patience you can find very small leaks.

Re: search for air bag leak
Once I get the bag out how can I test the fitting when there is no weight on the bag. I don,t think you can put too much air in on the bench. I can think of stupid ways that could cause damage or injury.

I use a Schrader valve & a short piece if airline for pressurizing the bag. Spray w/dish-soap water or submerge the bag in a container (tub) of water.
