Cup Holder Ideas

Been wanting to make a set of cup holders in front of the seat but not to tall to interfere with the shifter. What are some things you all have come up with that's different?

Re: Cup Holder Ideas

I too missed having cup holders along with a center console and an arm rest. I am not into drilling new holes in my truck. I went to CupHoldersPlus.com. and got the Bench Seat Cruiser Console for my 65 C10 with a stock bench seat. It comes with a strap that goes under the bottom cushion to keep it in place if needed. There are plenty of color options available and it's made in the US. It's not cheap but it's a very nice product and fits well. It's just another option to consider.

Re: Cup Holder Ideas

I am using a Ram mount ball attached under the dash. A double sided socket arm and a Ram mount cup holder. Easy to remove. I had it leftover from my old Harley.
I like the Arm Rest Cupholder though above, May buy one when I go back to work.

Re: Cup Holder Ideas

A guy could do a lot better than I did with this no buck one but it did the job for about 3 years. It wasn't as stable as I would have liked but i made it in about 15 minutes one day after spilling my coffee.

It's an idea to take and do a far nicer job with though.

Re: Cup Holder Ideas

I don't have one yet and I'm probably going to use the whole seat setup but it might be an idea that works for you.

99-06 chevy\gmc trucks with lower trim levels had a cup holder that is riveted to the bottom of center seat, they seem a bit hard to find since most trim levels either have the fold out one from dash or the full center console. I was thinking you might be able to make bracket to attach it to the bench so it moves with seat and is out of the way of shifter.

Re: Cup Holder Ideas

I've been thinking about getting a set of cupholders like these and putting them in the dash.
