Bring a Trailer Auction

Hello does anyone have any experience listing and selling their vehicle on bring a trailer? How long does it take to get approved in order to post it and how does shipping and payment work after?

I am about to post my 72 Jimmy on there but just wanting to see what I'll be getting myself into if they accept it. Thanks

I'm currently in the process of listing. They are running behind and ads are taking a while. I'm at three weeks and probably another week or so out.

I got denied so I guess I'll find somewhere else to sell it. Maybe I'll try different pictures.

1972 Jimmy
Rebuilt 350 out of a circle track car
Seal between trans and transfer case needs replaced as it is leaking into transfer case.
Rust in rockers, bottom of tailgate, rocker boxes have squares cut out for some reason, and rust on top of cargo bed where top meets it
Needs total restore but everything is there and it's running driving truck.

Re: Bring a Trailer Auction

BaT can be funny. We submitted my brother's 69 K10 and they rejected it based on the reserve. We listed it on eBay and sold it at what was our requested BaT reserve. So no harm no foul. But a month later the guy who bought it from us got it on BaT with the exact same reserve that we were rejected for. He sold for a grand over the reserve.

Some time later I posted a '69 Cobra (CJ Torino) for a friend on BaT. I thought his requested reserve was too high. They didn't blink...took it straight away. Of course it sold well. Maybe it depends on how busy they are and the rep assigned to you.

Regardless, good luck with the sale. It's a K5, so red hot.

How was selling it on ebay? No crazy fees or anything?

It has changed since we did it. The K10 technically no sold, but had several bidders that called afterwards and the deal got done. But I remember the fees being minimal.

Not only the fees, but the pic situation has changed since we sold the truck and is very different from when I sold the Blazer in '15. I would characterize both experiences as easy.
