Lowered Truck Uneven
1970 C10. Lowered with a kit from brothers trucks. 4.5 front, 5.5 rear. Front passenger side tire is rubbing while driving when suspension goes full travel. You can see it's not level staring at front end too.
Is it suspension or twisted frame? Looking for guidance on next steps now that I have taken some measurements. Here are my measurements: wheel well(P/S) = 26 1/2 wheel well(D/S) = 26 13/16 wheel wells(difference) = 5/16 floor to top control arm(P/S) = 10 3/4 floor to top control arm(D/S) = 10 9/16 floor to top control arm(difference) = 3/16 floor to lower control arm(P/S) = 4 floor to lower control arm(D/S) = 4 1/8 floor to lower control arm(difference) = 1/8 lower control arm to top of spring perch(P/S) = 4 1/2 lower control arm to top of spring perch(D/S) = 4 15/16 lower control arm to top of spring perch(difference) = 7/16 floor to bottom of frame, front of truck(P/S) = 8 5/16 floor to bottom of frame, front of truck(D/S) = 8 1/2 floor to bottom of frame(difference) = 3/16

Another measurement. I measured from floor to cab mount on frame and floor to cab support on cab, front and rear, both sides. They are all equal side to side.

What about the core support mounts? Are they in good condition? Another thing I noticed in your measurments is the lower control arm to the spring perch I'm taking that to be in the frame. That has a difference of 7/16. I would check to make sure you have the springs clocked equally and set in the pocket correctly and the same spot on both sides. A spring clocked different can cause a slight height difference. Anyway thats my 2 cents.

If your drop involved springs as well as spindles - I am guessing it does - you might be surprised how those springs seat and settle over time. When I did mine I was very unhappy with the result and was told to wait. Sure enough those springs settled over a year and look good now. And as LNP says, the spring clocking could more than account for that.
On the other hand, you might have an incorrect spring in that kit. Happens all the time, instead of a 2.5 inch drop they send one with one 2 incher. Pics would be helpful to show the unbiased masses, you might also be using too critical an eye, these trucks seldom sat right even from factory.

You know, now that I look again, answer seems to be staring me in the face. Like you guys said. Spring perch difference. Little more than half inch.
I raised the truck and made sure the springs are set correctly. I might need to pull them out and measure them, I never did that when I bought them... And yes it was the deluxe kit so it had everything, drop spindles and disc brakes. Beefed up sway bars. Shocks. I've put about 2000 miles on the truck now that it's almost done. I will pull springs out and measure. Report back.

If you are going to pull the springs. Maybe swap sides to see if the difference follows the springs. If it does and springs are same length, may be just a slight spring rate difference. If it does not follow swap, something is wonky on the vehicle.

I was watching Road Kill Garage and they showed that a vender shipped they do different springs in the package. On the top of the spring it showed there part #. The springs had different #'s and different heights. If it can happen to them, it can happen to you.

IIRC in that Roadkill episode they ended up swapping the springs to opposite sides and it corrected the lean problem.

Richard you need to go back and rewatch that episode. They ended up reinstalling the original springs.

Maybe I am getting old and my CRS is kicking in. I recall even when the stock springs were put back in the driver lean was still present (driving them crazy). As a last ditch effort the springs were removed again. It was found that the stock springs were different and they swapped sides. The car was now level. To the OP I was just trying to point out swapping sides can sometimes help.

I agree, sounds like the DS spring isnt clocked correctly.
I have had quite a few of these trucks over the years and I lower most of them. I have never lowered one that didnt have some sort of uneven look to it, but most of the time they're lower on the drivers front. Belltech makes a spacer to correct it. Maybe leave the drivers side and put the spacer in the pass side to correct the rubbing problem? S10s and Squares have the same problem. Some people refer to it as "Chevy Lean"
