Inner fender differences?

I bought some parts a couple of years ago and pulled out an almost perfect inner fender for my 61 and noticed where the hood spring attaches is different. My 61 and my 62 are the exact same. Is this other one a repo or maybe GMC? Thanks

Re: Inner fender differences?

I have noticed a variation between early and later ones myself. Even on original ones

Re: Inner fender differences?

I believe it was middle of 62 when the change happened. Went from the spring attachment point on the left to the one on the right in your picture. My 63 with GM steel is like the one on the right

Re: Inner fender differences?

My originals aren’t too bad, I guess I’ll sell the spare and fix the originals. Thanks
