Kickpanel ventilation
My kick panel vents don't feel like they bring in much air. Should you feel any air movement coming out while driving?

Re: Kickpanel ventilation
Is the cowl flapper open?
Yes you should feel movement if the flapper/door at the cowl is open. These vents are notorious for filling with leaves and debris. Could be clogged also. There is a thread here discussing cleaning them out.

Re: Kickpanel ventilation
Yes they are open. Just not getting much air through them. Going to check for debris this evening. Just wanted to get someone to verify that they actually bring in a strong amount of air

Re: Kickpanel ventilation
I wouldn't say "strong". But I do get airflow and its better than when the vents are closed.

Re: Kickpanel ventilation
I get enough pressure from them being open that it is actually quieter in the cab with the vents open and the back window cracked. They allow a fair amount of air to circulate into the cab given that you have a window cracked open so the incoming air has some place to exit the cab.

Re: Kickpanel ventilation
As stated above make sure the vent flap under the vent cowl on the passenger side is open. Since the vents don't have a fan drawing air in you need to create a draft by cracking a window.

Re: Kickpanel ventilation
Where is the vent flap you are speaking of located?

Re: Kickpanel ventilation
You may have a bunch of crap that's plugging them up between the vent and the cowl. My truck fills up with tree seeds & debris, I don't have a screen.
When I first got it it was jammed full. Removed the cowl thing, air hose, a vacuum, and a piece of wire got it clean.
