Sold The Green '67

-
I hadn't driven it on the road for a couple of years. I installed a power steering setup on the 250 a while back and was going to start driving it again. It was really nice to drive with the S-10 5 speed OD transmission and the power steering was the icing on the cake..

A guy stopped by few days ago and asked if any of the trucks were for sale. I told him they were all for sale. I gave him a price on 3 of them and he decided he wanted the '67 because he wanted the 6 cylinder. He wanted to buy the Blue '72 Dually but I told him I wasn't ready to sell it yet because I still used it quite a bit. He stopped by today and picked up an extra set of keys I had for the '67 and made me an offer on the Blue '72 Dually I don't think I can turn down.....

We will see if he is serious.

Leon, how many trucks do you have now-a-days? When I drove by your place a few years back sure looked like you had plenty (and that's not including what I couldnt see haha)!

Special K posted a pic a long time ago of a K series green utility truck I thought was absolutely gorgeous. I envy you guys that have harbored all these trucks, you adopting??

Running trucks would be the '67 Chevy Panel truck, & '68 Chevy Fleetside Custom Sport truck. Non running but complete trucks would be the '70 Chevy short bed fleetside, '71 Chevy long bed fleetside and a '69 Chevy long bed fleetside that I am working on now.

Thanks. Yes, he used to have a couple of them years ago. He wants the Dually for his business.

That's OK Eric, it's kind of nice not to have to mow and weed eat around it..... I appreciate the generous offer though.

...the poor guy.

Sounds like you're gonna need a serious truck to haul all that new found money to the bank.

I imagine a C20 would do, but if not, then just make two trips to the bank in your '67 Chevy Panel truck.

It won't last long enough to take it to the bank...

Actually he isn't. I gave him a 67-72 truck board business card though so maybe he will join up.

Hey Leon,

Did you make up these truck board business cards yourself? I see all kinds of guys at car shows with trucks like ours and wish there was a good way to spread the word about how awesome this forum has been. I'd love to hand some out at the car shows I attend.

Yes, I have a file of the template that was approved by the administrators but I no longer have a place to host it. My service provider shut down all of my web sites.

It is not set up for a normal business card stock because I just use heavy weight printer paper and cut them out by hand.

It is an MS Word Document. If someone could set it up for the Avery card stock and had a place to host it I would e-Mail them the file and they could post the link on the board so that everyone would have access to it.....

Picture is what the card looks like. Nothing fancy

That looks great! I don't know how I would host a link to that card but, I'd certainly pass those around if I had a way to add the name and board name on it. Could you email me the MS Word File and I'll see what I can do?

Yes, I could e-Mail it to you. It's easy to change stuff in it. Just open it up in Microsoft Word, highlight what you want to change and type in the new information.....

I figured that truck would sell pretty easily. If he comes back for the dually, you'll have to get after the 8.1 project truck I guess.

I've already been working on it. I'm almost ready to set the engine and transmission in it. I'm going to paint the frame today....
