Wilwood master cylinder to 71 pedal?

How are you connecting wilwood master to 71 c10 pedal. Manual brake master. Manual brake pedal. 15/16 master.

Wilwood comes with pushrod attached an it’s 3/8-24 thread.
C10 pedal is 7/16-20 thread

1) thought about removing the installed pushrod and using my stock one shown but the one installed is held in with a bushing and sits very shallow. Wouldn’t be a very secure attachment with the stock rod just barely floating in there.

2) some sort of adapter like a coupling nut that goes from 3/8-24 to 7/16-24 (haven’t found one)

3) wilwood says they have an eyelet but it’s still like 5 inches short like the gap in the pic and might take a couple coupling nuts (seems unsafe?)

Wilwood says they don’t make a master without a pushrod installed (like a stock style master) in 15/16

What have you done?

It was suggested on Facebook to cut the stock rod here in red and drill/tap to 3/8-24. That’s my tentative plan so far.

I would think a 3/8-24 heim end and a coupler would do the trick.

I thought about that but haven’t found a 3/8-24 heim with 9/16 bore hole.

So this is what I ended up doing in case anyone ever researches this. I measured and then I cut off my stock pushrod leaving about 3/4 inch of overlap. Then I drilled and tapped the end of the stock pushrod for 3/8-24 to match the wilwood pushrod. Then I threaded the wilwood pushrod into the stock rod. Two points of adjustment and 2 jamb nuts. Should work fine
