Orig. 2 wd. But leaf spring perches let’s you use it for either. Also I have matching gear set for Dana 44 front. That’s what I was going to do. $120 for front gear set.

The 4WD housing was different, in width and position of perches. The Dana 60 was in Chevy C20 2 WD and GMC 4WD, but they don't interchange. Chevrolet had the H072 in C20 4WD. Been a while but I think that is right!

To add to this, I know c30 was the same width spring spacing as all 4wd models from 67-72. C20 I’m not sure about although I do have a c20 frame in the backyard I could check to help figure this out

To add to information. We put a Dana 60 354 gears in our 72 gmc Sierra grande longhorn, extra 6 in. Everything bolts up perfect. Except for the emergency brake cables. Needed the longer ones. Had a ho72 in it. The brakes are smaller than ho72 ones. Just an FYI. Perches matched perfectly. And will idle down road will run about 90 now.

But what did the rear axle come out of?

It came out of a 3/4 ton chevy. Gear set was stamped 8 of 69. So could have been a 1969 or a 1970. Probably 1970. Worked fine. Everything matched up. Will take some pictures probably this weekend.

All C30/3500, longhorn C20/2500 and K trucks use 40.5” spacing, C10 and non longhorn C20 use 42.5” spacing.

If you had an axle from a big block GMC custom camper (GMC’s long horn equivalent) C2500 this would make sense, otherwise something is off.

Just FYI pictures. Not the prettiest but just a driver for now. Have a leaking brake line we have to fix. But just for reference on the spring perches. No modifications. Guess spring perch is not quite as wide. You can see from pictures. But not enough to play a big role. An ho72 with 411 came out of it.
