Gas lines
This dummy can't read a ruler(smile).
Bought new 5/16" gas lines, gottem Friday. Compared old to new. New are visibly smaller ID vs old. Internet vendor policy on pre-bent lines = no return. For as long I have the truck it will be stock. 400BB garage king. Would you use 5/16? Thanks, don t. |

Re: Gas lines
It's a fair amount of work to risk fuel starvation with 5/16" lines just to have to possibly redo it later. I swapped my old 5/16" line out when I went from a stockish 350 to a 400. All is good. I'd go 3/8" too.

Re: Gas lines
GM had a reason to use 3/8" on V8s when the could have saved a fraction of a cent by using the same part across the board.

Re: Gas lines
Sonetimes hard to get diameter with ruler - especially when your old like me. I use an open end wrench when in tight quarters.
