How bad is it to bend 2" 18 guage stainless steel exhaust pipe?

Not sure what you mean. Do you mean how difficult is it, or is it inadvisable.

Both actually. I have access to a big power bender for conduit and to some big hand benders at my job I don't want to destroy the equipment or my pipes.

I wouldn't do it, a 555 won't make tight enough bends. It would likely kink the pipe too.

What degree of bend are you wanting?

Is buying the elbows an option for your project?

I tried the bending pipe thing.
I packed it with sand and plugged the pipe tight.

It worked for what I was doing.

I don't think stainless would turn out looking Good

I would be going from the headers to the back of my 68 chevy stepper. I have never bent stainless steel but I have done plenty of conduit and mild steel exhaust pipe I will pick up some elbows for the bends. Thanks for the input
