Accelerator cable adjustment.....
With my new setup Holley 4150, installed Holley accelerator bracket, reconnected cable but noticed floor pedal has slack avoiding wide open throttle. There's nowhere to adjust at the bracket, so I'm thinking somehow adjust at the foot pedal possibly??? It seems the pedal needs to be up more at its resting position before even pressing down...???.?

Re: Accelerator cable adjustment.....
Far as I know there is no adjustment. I changed to a new cable bracket that was adjustable. Yours does not look factory from what I can see, so not sure how you could do yours. I had an Edelbrock on one truck and used the factory Tranny and throttle cable bracket. The one for the holley, I had something lying around that was adjustable, but don't remember brand. Don't have that particular truck any more.
NOTE: Holley recommends there part #20-88 for your linkage.

Re: Accelerator cable adjustment.....
On my step. The factory cable had some slack to accommodate various situations.
With my new bracket I set it to no slack as I prefer. But it is a bit annoying, but not hard. |

Re: Accelerator cable adjustment.....
Didn’t I give you a link to a bracket like this in your other thread.
No problem with it being easy to adjust. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/s...9blk?rrec=true |

Re: Accelerator cable adjustment.....
So I just had a closer look at your pic.
Why is the chrome bracket sitting so high? Where do you have it mounted? |

Re: Accelerator cable adjustment.....
I have taken the pedal out before, and put it in the vice and slightly bent it til it opens full throttle.

Re: Accelerator cable adjustment.....
make sure your chrome bracket is not moving on the base bolt. if the springs a little loose change out the springs move to the front of the carb top front side on the linkage and play with the tension of the springs or spring get peddle feel you like. The bolt hole at the front on the intake make or buy bracket for the spring to mount to

Re: Accelerator cable adjustment.....
Holley bracketry has a lot to do with what transmission you are using, and as you note they do not affix to the intake like Edelbrock, but on the rear "ear" of the carb.
I am not an expert but I just went through this a month ago with my very first Holley, so I will just share what I bought for mine that seems to work: for my 600 cfm with a 700r4, below. I am not saying these are the parts you need. I will say that my attempt to cheap out and make my own throttle stud ended in failure and I ended up buying the Holley part... it has to be the most money I have paid per ounce for a bolt in my life. But, it worked, and with the correct parts there was no slop or slack anywhere and it works like a charm. Unless someone has swapped your original throttle cable with another at some point I think you just have to find the correct part for your application. https://www.amazon.ca/Holley-20-95-T...111472&sr=8-10 https://www.amazon.ca/Holley-20-121-...00CMDVA2&psc=1 https://www.amazon.ca/Holley-20-38-T...0029JE38&psc=1
