Header Question
Two quick questions here:
1) has anyone purchased and installed headers that are the Performance Online brand? 2) The POL headers are $ 340.00 plus shipping. I have the old set of Headman headers that came off my C10 and they need restored. Bonehead Performance will blast and ceramic coat them for $ 275.00 plus shipping both ways. Which way would you go?? Thanks |

Re: Header Question
If the old headman’s are not burned out and fit good, I would stay with them. Why open up another can of worms!

Re: Header Question
I'd re-do the Hedman Hedders too. I had a set of Hedmans on a 350 SBC in a '71 GMC Jimmy, that burned thru on the drivers' side. Because I had them Mummy-Wrapped in DEI tape. Looked way cool, kept underhood temps down, was unnaturally quiet, but wrapping voids the otherwise-lifetime warranty. So I bought the exact same part number headers. They now had a different ball-type manifold/collector connection. Not the simple 3-bolt flange. So I had to run 7 miles down to the muffler shop [sounding like a taxiing B-25] to get the new flange connectors welded onto the exhaust pipes.
