Lowering a 67 c20

I am trying to figure out the best way to lower a 67 c20. The only thing I seem to be able to find is front lowering coils and rear drop blocks.

It all depend on if you have a leaf spring or trailing arm truck and how low you want to go. You can use C10 drop springs you will lower the hauling & towing capacity unless you go with air bags. If you want to get real low you are going to need a C-notch which is not recommend if you plan on towing. There are C-notches that claim to be capable of towing but I personally wouldn't tow with one without welding in some serious bracing.

I dropped my 68 C20 using 2.5" drop spindles, air bags & a heavy Duty C-notch from CPP. All of the drop spindles require you to upgrade to disc brakes. You need spindles designed for 63-70 trucks in order to reuse you existing ball joints & tie rods. 71-72 trucks have joints & rods. You can use 71-72 spindles but you will need to change your ball joints and use you outter tie rods in the inside position with 71-72 outter tie rods and a special tie rod adapter.

Thank you. I was looking for drop spindles for a c20 on the cpp website but I could not find anything I will take another look

As he mentioned, you won’t find drop spindles for your truck. You WILL find disc brake conversion spindles that can be stock height or dropped. If you just want to lower it, you can do rear lowering springs and you can trim your front coils or buy lowering coils.

When ECE was still in business I would have recommended buying front and rear coils from them, anymore, not sure who to recommend.

I’m sorry I guess I should have been more specific. I was not able to find disk brake conversion drop spindles on the cpp website that are made for a 67 c20.

Drop spindles for a 67 C20 don’t exist.

I Forgot to mention, the only drop spindles that allow you to keep the 8 lug pattern are the 71-87 design which require you to change ball joints and outer tie rods. The 63-7O spindles CPP sells are designed to swap to 5/6 lug.

Do you have any pics of your truck? I’m looking to lower my 68 C20 and curious if 2.5” in front is enough.

Thank you guys for all your help. The reason I was asking is because I was I found a c20 that I was going to purchase. That deal fell through. But feel free to continue on in your conversation.
