it's all covered up with everything plugged up and sitting in a garage under a tarp
engine was broken in and then put into storage until body work is complete.. only thing left to finish the rolling chassis is to rebuild the ford 9" rear

Please cover all open holes on that engine (carb, water neck, exhaust, distributor......) with tape or shop towels. The last thing you want is issues releated to any type of debris that found its way in there.
Progress looks good. Ahh edit went wierd on me. Should've thought you had that covered before I posted. Last edited by zzChevy; 12-27-2003 at 07:24 PM. |

Looks good. I had to do the same with my truck two years ago. Both passenger and driver side rocker panel looked like a fishing net after I removed the paint. But that is a well known problem with our trucks.
It looks like it is the second time your driver side rockerpanel is fixed, as far as I can see from the pics there is a welding seem in it already. What is the story behind that? I did not know there where patch panels for the inside of the rocker panel. That would have saved me a lot of work. I had to fabricate them myself and that was hard work. To end this I just want to say; "Keep up the good work!!"

when i got the cab it had a slip-on type rocker panel brazed on over top of the old rust, some things i just don't understand...
the patch panels you are referring to are called "outer floor sections" this was the only real place where it was completely rusted through, so it helped a lot.. bonus part is they also include the complete inner rocker panel.
