Measure the length of your block, transfer that to a “broom handle “ , that placed in front of your engine will tell you what has to be moved, removed….radiator, grill etc, to give room to get the cam in…

Sure you can move stuff to get room to replace it.
I think you’ll need to secure the push rods out of the way on #6 though. Hold them up somehow. They won’t come right out. Firewall is in the way.
But the big question is why do you need to replace the cam!

Clothes pins will hold the pushrods easily…sorry for the confusion, I only answered to give some clearance issues…knowledge makes things easier…..

One of the lifters went bad I didn't know which one for sure so i replaced all of them but didn't seem to make much difference so i assumed the cam was bad.

Now you got a choice to make.
Pull the motor out for a super cleaning and rebuild or put in another cam and hope it runs for a few months.
All that fine metal gets everywhere inside especially into the bearings.

Yeah I know that metal is everywhere I was hoping a new cam and and several oil changes would make it live a while longer. The more I research this the harder the job becomes for me.

In that case don't go look at 12 bolt.com.

If I had seen this photo, my comment would have been “don’t waste your time”, your throwing good money out the window doing this twice…..

If you could find a donor vehicle it might be an opportunity to swap in a 350. Power will be better, gas mileage not much different.

I've had two of those 250 engines and had problems with both of them. The first one somebody had put in some wild cam and it didn't run worth crap. The second was leaking all over and the cam was nearly shot, although not yet as bad as yours.

Bout the easiest engine to pull. I'd yank it and have some fun with it.
300+ hp can be had with some work. Just depends how much time and money you want to spend.
