Dec 7 Waikiki Parade
Aloha. Here are a few pics and a video snipit from a parade I was in with the local classic car club. Dec 6th we had torrential downpours and flooding all over the islands, and some thunderstorms (rare, I’ve been here 15 years and can count the number thunderstorms) Normally there are a lot more cats but everyone was worried about the weather.

Re: Dec 7 Waikiki Parade
I've been seeing the forecast for the islands this past week. 70+ mph winds and flooding and 12" of snow up high. All at once too. Wow.
Nice group of cars.

That's really cool. Thanks for sharing. Being Christmas in Hawaii makes it all the cooler. And so is seeing all those cool vehicles, including your truck, there.

Re: Dec 7 Waikiki Parade
Thanks. We had to decorate our cars in either Patriotic and Holiday theme. I went with holiday and the Grinch, hence the Christmas tree on top and all the “presents” in back. And can’t forget “max”, Cricket is her really name and she’s crazy. That’s why the picture is sideways.

Re: Dec 7 Waikiki Parade
Is rust a problem on the islands?

Re: Dec 7 Waikiki Parade
Unfortunately yes. If you dont have rust you are okay but once the rust if there it spreads faster. So having a rust free car is imperative. Also if you live right on the water-it will be much worse. I live higher up and a few miles from the ocean so it’s not horrible but not good. And most homes only have carports vs enclosed garages. Most of those cars are most likely stored in a enclosed garage.
