Re: Nos 1972 woodgrain door inserts

I wouldn't expect such a rare and desirable item, two separate items actually, to have a list price. Also, pretty hard to act indifferent when negotiating to get the best price, which would have been grabbed out of the sky by the seller.

Re: Nos 1972 woodgrain door inserts

Sorry I dont have pics on my phone. Bought them from another Chevy forum member out of Indiana. I can get pics when I start on packing my stuff again. Right now frame is off to powder coat and axles getting re-geared. So to be safe all parts are in totes, shrink wrapped and on the top of my pallet racking.

To comment on all the parts I have been buying what you see on here seems to be only a small part of the expediture. Ebay NOS parts and others through word of mouth are draining me! But thats what its all about........RIGHT....RIGHT? I hope light has been turned on at end of tunnel.

Re: Nos 1972 woodgrain door inserts

$400 is a rock bottom price. $200 a piece? What do the repros cost? The old standard, if there is such a thing, is N.O.S. is worth at least 2x the price of reproduction.
I sold a pair about 10 years ago for $300. With prices what they are now, even on used stuff, I'd think those panels would be worth at least $400@. MD Farms, I am amazed you even found a pair, and at that price. I guess it depends on the knowledge of the seller and how bad he needs money. This is trim, printed delicate trim. A N.O.S. fender or door you can fix a ding on and they need to be painted anyway. Look at what they go for. Woodgrain door panels are either perfect or they are second quality.

I don't buy into the question "What's it worth?" anymore.

NOS parts are becoming harder and harder to find. It's definitely a seller's market.

I have 2 sport mirrors in a box. I have never been fortunate enough to see door panels in a box.

Re: Nos 1972 woodgrain door inserts

I believe I was very fortunate to get them bought and now after reading thread and speaking to the other guy about his at $1500 I was super lucky. I was also lucky enough to find NOS Chrome mouldings for around woodgrain. Sometimes right place along with right timing. I have been offered double what I paid already and to me thats crazy.

I'm confused? You ask if anyone had any pictures of what they look like and you have now posted pictures of yours? Are you looking for another set or trying to find value of the ones you have? I know a buyer if you have those for sale.

Do you have any other NOS parts you are wanting to sell? If so pm me with what you have please.
