Steering column and box splines

Want to use a Borgeson steering shaft with u-joints on my 72 truck, ready to order the parts and there is not a "kit" for the truck. Have installed a new 2wd box which looks to be 3/4" x 36 spline which is same as stock 4x4 box. I believe a stock tilt column is in the truck. It appears to be 11/16" x 36 spline by my measurements. Have seen some info stating columns in the trucks are 5/8" x 36 or 3/4" x 36. I can say the steering box end does not fit the column, so it is not 3/4" x 36. To me 5/8" looks to small and from what I understand is mostly newer trucks. Can anyone provide some input before I order parts? Returning is a hassle and I will incur more shipping costs if a mistake is made. TIA for any input.
