Manual floor shift for Chevy 341 tranny

I have a 67 C10 with 327 engine and Chevy 341 tranny (3 speed) Wanting to replace column shift with floor. Ordered the recommended lokar shifter with required installation kit. Shifter came promptly, but after more than 5 months the installation kit is apparently not available as Holley has repeatedly moved out the estimated delivery dates which have come and only extended again. Checking with Jegs which shows to carry the shifter and installation kit, they show the shifter available but the installation kits are no longer available. The reason for the change is that after the installation of headers the column shift linkage does not clear the headers and binds up. Question does anyone have recommended solutions?

I would try to modify the headers to clear the existing linkage. Denting the header with a hammer has been proven to have little or no effect on performance. A better solution would be to dump that old 3-speed for a modern 5-speed.
