tail light problem
I recently replaced the tail light harness on my 67 and the turn signal is barely noticable when the tail lights are on. The signal is working but the flash is not that bright and not noticable when the tail lights are on. Is it possible to have the connectors to the light sockets attached so that the turn signal and tail lights are reversed. It seems like the tail lights are bright and the turn signal is dim. I think this might be backwards and would work better it the tail lights were dimmer and turn signal was brighter. Any thoughts on what might be wrong.

I ran into that problem. I installed the new harness and didnt put the tail light bezels back in. I assumed that they wer not grounded. Once I bolted them back in they worked correctly. Also double check the connector under the bed make sure it is connected good.

Skokie, thanks for the reply and suggestions. The lights are installed and the ground should be good. In fact, I just installed new ground straps on the truck. I checked the connection to the intermediate cable and that looked fine as well. Any other suggestions?

i was following the oleladys trk and all the lights were working later that day she almost got hit cause they werent.got to checking and they was fine.couldnt figure it out then stumbled on it by accident.turn your park lights and signals on and have someone wiggle the turn sigal handle back and forth while you watch them.if thats the problem it would be the turn signal switch.
i know you just replaced the taillight harness but when it comes to wires anything can happen lol..the problem could have been there before and went unnoticed

Just switch the 2 wires at the tail light pigtail on each side. It is wired up backward.
