Will wheels fit ok?

My 67 was converted by previous owner to front disk 5 lug wheels. Truck currently has 20 inch wheels and putting 15x8s on now. They seem to fit flush and go all the way on the studs without issue, but looks pretty tight by the brake caliper. Is that normal with 15 inch wheels and disk brakes? Just making sure before I mount tires on wheels and continue. Thanks.

Re: Will wheels fit ok?

I have the 15 x8" old school rally wheels on my 67 with drop spindles and they fit , You have to use the old school lead wheel weights and not stick on weights to balance them , The stick on weights will not fit inside the wheel they will hit the caliper and peel off .

Re: Will wheels fit ok?

I just went the opposite way. I had 15x8 in front. 15x10 rear Front had 2 1/2 drop spindles which if you switched from drum to disc can widen your front tracking. I had no problem with 265x60x15 on 8 in rim for me fit just fine and cleared, barely, the caliper. I now have 20s and had to switch to CCP spindles that by design move the wheels back in so I don’t rub the fender. Kinda Miss my 15s in a way

Re: Will wheels fit ok?

I had to add a spacer to my 15X7 front wheels to fit with drop spindles

I had same problem years ago. Found out I had the wrong rims. Ordered Rallies for a 72 truck with disc and didn’t need the spacer to clear the caliper anymore
