Blazer fuel tank depth at gauge sending unit

Considering putting a tube type sender in my tank when we drop to see if there is a problem, see other thread, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=830079

Can someone confirm the depth from sending unit mounting face to bottom of tank. Most information online says tank is 13" deep, but where sending unit mounts is recessed.

thanks
