Rear Upper Coil Spring "seat"
Good evening. I removed my rear coils, and the bracket that is riveted to the frame and sits on the top of the spring was really rusty. I decided to give them a few wacks with a ball-peen and found some holes. I am trying to decide if I am going to repair them, buy new, or fab new ones. I have already pulled them off, and won't have access to the truck until Thursday.
I also couldn't help but wonder if people just ditched them all together. Curious what others have done here. I have been searching for info and parts, but I don't seem to know what it is I am looking for. There is a good chance these got a little tweaked upon removal. |

Re: Rear Upper Coil Spring "seat"
I replaced them and bolted the replacements in. Don't think I had any luck getting them in the parts board here, but found some on ebay...

You should really become a premium member on this message board and post a "WTB" want to buy in the parts section...
I got mine from ChevyManBill on instagram, but bought them from his ebay store https://www.ebay.com/sch/vintagechev...m=154810731736 I don't see any currently listed. You can call him or message him. I think he's on this message board also... |
