Re: Rear adjustable trac bar

Measure the distance of the wheels to the frame. Make it the same on both sides.

Accelo is correct, but make sure you have the full suspension at ride height...meaning everything is there...bed, bedwood, tank of gas, etc.

I made this adjustment several times during my rebuild.

Here is a link to some photos and a write up from when I installed mine in my Burban. It may help you even though the photos are from above. Scroll down to post 513.
Good luck with the installation.

Re: Rear adjustable trac bar

I haven't undertaken this yet. Is the new track bar shorter or longer than the stock bar?

Re: Rear adjustable trac bar

It's adjustable. However, it will end up being shorter if it was connected to the same position. Most use the stock top pivot and a relocated bottom connection.

Re: Rear adjustable trac bar

Thanks, but now you have me wondering why change to the bottom connection.

Re: Rear adjustable trac bar

The short story is the longer the rod is the less side movement there is when the suspension is compressed or loaded.
