New Member - 49 GMC FC102
Glad to finally be able to register and post here! I've been lurking for about 8 months and picked up a 49 GMC FC102 long bed in September. Started with the teardown and rust removal and have relied on this site for a lot of the planning going forward. Not planning anything too extravagant: IFS, LS 6.0, 4L80E, 8.8 rearend. Plan is a daily driver with safety, reliability, and comfort as the primary goals. I do have some big plans for the bed and interior, but we'll see how it goes when I get that far. Planning on about a 2+ year build so nothing will be hurried.
Glad to be here and can't wait to contribute! |

Welcome! You say it's not extravagant, but that's a pretty comprehensive plan. Will be a really fun truck to drive.
