Rich from Florida
As a pre-retirement gift to self I have started to work on Old Gold. I parked her in the garage when we built our home, that was 20 years ago now.
She is a 1970 C10 Short Bed, no frills work truck. Column shift 3, 307. My wife's cousin Lindsey bought it new & drove it as far away as Shelby NC from Gaffney, SC. Mostly it drove back & forth to the textile mill for work. 54k miles on her. We jumped into it loaded with a roll-top desk and drove it on the longest trip ever to Florida. A little rust in the usual locations. All original (almost)...Someone changed the ignition cylinder at some point, not a "J" key & does not match the doors. I will need to find a way to fix that. I love reading this forum, very valuable info. As an Electrical Engineer, I really enjoy VetteVet's posts. That man knows a thing or two. |

Re: Rich from Florida
I'm trying to dig some old pictures out. She is backed into the garage right now, so I can only get front-end pictures of the current state. She fired up without much trouble, but I found no brake fluid in the reservoir and I don't want her rolling into the swamp. That would be bad.

Re: Rich from Florida
Very cool that you have held on to it all these years. It will be fun to see what you decide to do as you get it back on the road. Maybe start a build thread? Welcome to the site.
