GMC Grill Interchangability
Quick, silly question. Can I put a 67 GMC grill in a 72 without any fuss or hassle?

Re: GMC Grill Interchangability
Yes, you can swap any 67-72 grille between years. All grilles fit exactly the same. The only differences are between the 67/68 top bar and 69-72 top bar. This difference goes hand in hand with the hood differences between the same years. The top bar is a separate part from the grille that is attached by rivets. Drill those out and you can use a 67/68 grille with the 69-72 top bar (center grille surround) and vice versa

Re: GMC Grill Interchangability
Thanks! That is some valuable information… since I was thinking of ALSO using my 1967 hood. So do you think I’d have any problem using the pair?
That'll work. There is a difference between 67/68 hood latches and 69-72, same as hoods, on both Chevy and GMC. I'm not sure if that matters or not. The difference is where it bumps up in the front the 67/68s are sloped more while the 69-72s are steeper, just like the hoods. It's a really minor difference mostly detectable when compared side by side. I don't think that contour matters, but never tested it to see if it matters

Re: GMC Grill Interchangability
Should work as the GMC fenders are the same 67-72 unlike the chevy. Well other than 67 had no side markers. I am not positive, but I think the hood release is the same for all GMCs also, but I don't remember for sure.

Re: GMC Grill Interchangability
Hood release is different from 67-68 and 69-72 GMC's
