WTB 15x8 Steelie
Looking for 1 15x8 4 nub steel wheel (6x5.5) to use for a spare. Thought I would see if something original is out there before going with Wheel Vintiques.
Thanks! |

Re: WTB 15x8 Steelie
Just a suggestion but might want to ask a Mod to move this to the WTB parts forum as this is posted to "Misc. for Sale" section. Might get better response. Those steel 6 lug 15 x 8s can be rough to find and don't come cheap. Good luck with your search. Swap meets can be your friend if you have any local to you.

Re: WTB 15x8 Steelie
Wheel Vintiques makes a 6-lug Series 62 wheel now?

They have made them for awhile now, but was apparently either discontinued for a bit or just out of stock for a bit. I've got a set of them on my 63 that I bought used almost 3 years ago. The original purchaser had bought them a year or two prior to removing them after switching to 5 lug

Do they make them in 15x8? I cant find them. With the skyrocketing prices of the original 15x8 CUCV wheels, these are a great alternative.

Yes, mine are 15x8s
All of my hubcaps stayed on when I went over a stupid rough section of I-20 outside of Atlanta that made me feel like the whole truck left the pavement for a second or two

Re: WTB 15x8 Steelie
I had heard from some that they did not work so good to know.
I do notice the Wheel Vintiques are 3 nub, the cucv's are 4 nub. |

One style they sell is made for the Corvette style caps that mount to the inside of the lug nut area. This one has no nubs on the outside for the nub style hubcaps. The style posted by lolife99 and what I have on my truck is the one you need for nub style caps. I've been pleased with the quality of my wheels and even though I bought them used, they were basically new. The tires I put on are the second set of tires on the wheels

Re: WTB 15x8 Steelie
I have stock 1.25" squarebody brakes on my 63 (6 lug rotor though) and they clear my wheels with no problems at all. I don't remember my exact backspacing, but it's either 4" or 4.25". Not sure when I'll get a chance to pull the wheel off for a measurement though
