New member here, been looking here for a while and have gotten a lot of great information. I'am restoring a 67 GMC K1500 long step back to as close to original as I can. I really need to find the V6 engine mount crossmember and frame plates as this truck had been converted to SBC at one time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I seen on IG that the big inline 6 (292) and the V6 engine frame mounts are the same, they had a pic of both side by side. It was just a random pic that I stumble on while suffering.

Yes, what I have found out is that 292 4X4 crossmember is the same however I think the engine support brackets may be different. Did the picture you saw show the brackets also? From what I have read on here the 292 4X4 setup is almost impossible to find. Thanks for the help and the reply.

I wish I could fine the post that I seen, the pictures would help more then my brain can remember. I think that one side of the engine support brackets are the same, can't remember if it was left or right.

I think I have a crossmember but I don't have the engine stands for a V6 I will look tomorrow

Sorry but I woke up and the water heater under the house was spraying water everywhere so 9 trips to Lowe’s and it is finally fixed. I know I have it just need to put my hands on it. I will find it tomorrow and get you some pictures

Here are the pics of the one I have. I came out of a 4X4 with a 292. I have no idea if it will work with the V6 or not. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me will chime in.

That is definitely the right crossmember. According to my GMC parts book KS (292 4X4 all yrs) and KM (305 V6 4X4 1967) are the same number 3906534 SUPPORT, ENGINE.
