Any Tips? Multifunction Switch Replacement
I think this is the next repair I want to do. I have the part and ready to move forward. But! I am very intimidated with going inside the steering column. This is so complicated compared to the old stuff I've worked on all my life. I need some pointers or just to hear of the experiences others have had to get me motivated.

Re: Any Tips? Multifunction Switch Replacement
Its not too hard, but not easy. Watch this link I used. The hardest part was removing the column shifter wire from the switch under the dash & removing the upper column cover. I just cut the lower portion of the black cover to clear the key switch. I didn't have to remove the key that way. Removing the air bag was somewhat a pain also. Still, not the hard of a job changing the multi switch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Scoqc-h_N6Q

Re: Any Tips? Multifunction Switch Replacement
Thanks for the video. That's the exact same one I watched. A1 does good and clear repair videos. I didn't feel the need to check any more out after watching that one. Saved. Watching him take it apart it started seeming like quite a bit of a job and I started wondering if I wanted to get into it. But watching it go back together made it look better. I'll watch it a few times to let it sink in
