No power to the fuel pump
My 97 Chevy K1500 with a 5.7 lost power to the fuel pump driving down the road. All the fuses are good.

Re: No power to the fuel pump
Could be oil pressure switch. Can you jump power direct to the pump off the battery (or other)?

Re: No power to the fuel pump
Could try swapping the relay with another in the box and see if it's bad. Definitely check codes, the cam or crank sensor could be bad so the computer doesn't see the engine cranking. Oil pressure switch is a possibility too as mentioned.

Re: No power to the fuel pump
I just was messing with the relay checking for power and ground, now I have power to the pump. Starts right up. Will be ordering a new relay tomorrow. Where do I find the oil pressure switch on the motor? Might change that as well just to be on the safe side with 170000 miles on it
Thanks |
