Harness routing with Vintage Air

I am doing an LS (LQ4) into a '71 GMC. I already have my BP harness and am planning to put the PCM under the dash. I have ordered my VA kit, but it's still about 5 weeks from delivery. In the meantime, I want to install my harness but don't want to send it through the firewall where the VA kit will be.

Can someone please post an interior picture to show the VA mounted so I get an idea of where I can (or more importantly cannot) put my harness?

Thanks!

Re: Harness routing with Vintage Air

I got a reply from ls1nova71, cool!! Thank your sir. I’ve stalked your builds and feel like I’m talking to a celebrity. Thanks for all of the support and inspiration you give this community.

The picture was helpful, thanks. I was thinking of putting it in the circled area. It seems like it will work from the picture.

Any words of caution?

LOL! Words like that can go to a guy's head! 🤣

Anyway, the area you circled might work, but there's going to be a lot going on back there once all the AC stuff is in. Personally, I think I would wait. I know it sucks waiting on stuff, but having to fill the hole and move the harness later would suck too. Guess it depends on if you have anything else you can be doing in the mean time.

Here are some closer pics of that area. Note, I do NOT have all the vent hoses in there just yet. I can however get my hand back there and there may just be enough room for the harness to sneak by all of it.
