van or truck tilt?
it came out of a 1970 cst swb truck...
is it a truck or a van tilt?

the only real way to tell that i know of is how far the shaft at the end sticks out

That firewall plate isn't truck. Looks like a van or motorhome.

i see... it was bolted up in the truck... what are measurements for van and tilt columns?

The Van tilt shaft is 2 1/2" longer than the truck tilt shaft.

Dinnut, I gave you your answer above. That rusty looking sheetmetal plate on the bottom of the column is not a truck one. Truck ones have two little screw holes in them and that's it. That one has like 5 screws in it. Looks like an van/ motorhome tilt.

and if someone who posted awhile ago about the lettering difference is correct...then the one you have corresponds with what they said was a VAN tilt.
