GM 350, price?

Hey all,

I have a GM Goodwrench crate motor that has 29,000 miles on it. Some guy that I know wants to buy it from me for his 3rd gen firebird. It is complete with a aluminum 4 barrell intake, but no carb. Has a GM HEI. Has starter/oil pan, basically everything needed to run except carb and all the accessories. I'm not sure If I want to sell it, but if I do, how much should I ask? It runs like a top and starts every time on the first crank.

Any suggestiong would be appreciated.

Thanks

Brian(Poodude)

At least a thou. I spent that much on a rebuilt 4 bolt, 350 without the intake, HEI, etc. Don't give it away, but keep it lubed, dry and warm if you're storing it. Scott

What was it, about $1800 new for a economy crate motor? I'd say about half of that. Sounds cheap with the HEI and manifold but new engines are like new cars, they depreciate imediately after driving it off the lot. You may be able to ask a little more since your friend will know its correct history and doesn't have to worry if the seller is telling him the truth on mileage, etc...Then again, he is your friend so he might want a good guy deal. Just my 2 cents.
