5.3 4l80 71 chevy

I got a 71 c10 longbed, and I am looking to drop a 5.3 4l80 in it. Can you do it without a high hump if you move the motor and trans forward, and if you do that, will the driveshaft fit without shortening? just trying to plan ahead a bit. I have a high hump, but if it will fit without no reason to use it.
I know I'll have to change the slip yoke to a 32 spline.
Also, since its already auto, I assume I can reuse the trans crossmember and just move it? Thanks.

Re: 5.3 4l80 71 chevy

Engine/trans fits no problem on low hump without modification in any position. I had a single piece driveshaft made for my longbed. I used the trans yoke from the doner. I used Hooker Blackheart motor stands and trans crossmember with F body motor mounts.

I like the look of the black hose and fittings. don't want red and blue fittings on the engine.

I just finished my swap a couple weeks ago. I used the evil energy kit. I expected a few leaks just because this was the first time I made my own fuel lines. Primed the pump and didn’t have a single leak. I also used their inline pump and filters. So far so good. Have about 50 miles on it so far.
