WTB Green seatbelts

I am finishing up my 67k10 short stepside and I need seatbelts. I am not trying to find 67 type belts. I am looking to find belts to go with 503 paint. The attached photos show some of the belts I have. The buckles and straps have slightly different colors so I am open to seeing what you have in order to make up a complete set of three belts. I have two of the dark green outer belts with vinyl bases. And I have only one outer aqua base with no belts in it. Let me see what you have please

Re: WTB Green seatbelts

The belts are going in this 67 truck with 503 paint. The interior has 503 paint too with dark forest green door panels and dash pad. I am still waiting on a seat cover but I am hoping it will be something that will go with the 503 interior. (I am also waiting for my steelies to be painted and the lettering done on my tailgate. I could also use a set of ss 69-72 hubcaps, but that is another story for another post).

That will help. I cannot remember your name but I bought 3 NOS rocker panels from you a while back. (Is it Don)? Are the belts in those outside belt retractors the same color as the other belts? If they match I might be able to use them. Let me first enlarge these and see if I can figure out the color better. Green is so damn tricky.

Re: WTB Green seatbelts

I guess I am trying to figure out if there is much difference between 68 and 72 belts and buckles. I might just have to buy all of them in order to figure it out. They look quite similar. What are you looking to get for them? (I still have two of those rockers).

Re: WTB Green seatbelts

I have the belts and other green parts from my 70 Suburban, which is 647 custom cloth interior. Not sure if this is the same as 503 green. Let me know if you want more pics.

If georgieb51 isn't interested in your Suburban belts I am looking for some for my Suburban and would be interested.
Thanks for any consideration.

I am not confident that Randy's belts are close enough on color so if he wants to sell them to you I will step aside. They are close but not quite right for me.

Re: WTB Green seatbelts

I can most likely restore the belts you have. What can’t be, I have a few belts that color also. If you go to my Signature, I have a thread o er on the 73-87 side, but I do those belts also. Let me look for the belts I have and I’ll post them when I find them.
Update: here they are. They still need restored also, but these are in a little better shape than yours.

Re: WTB Green seatbelts

I want to thank TKCR and Daddymoo. I have been learning more than I want to know about how many variations of green were used on these trucks. I still have not made a decision although I like the color on Don's 68 buckles. It is not easy to match buckles and webbing. Perhaps having a set redone would be the way to go. But I am not yet ready to make a decision, But I wanted to thanks folks for now. I am going to Carlisle Spring Show tomorrow and hope to talk to a belt guy there that I met there last fall.

Re: WTB Green seatbelts

I bet these are it. They are like a light sage green.

And here’s something to consider. Belts can be rewebbed. Might not be able to find the perfect match for the webbing, but something close. Then all the plastics can be dyed to match.
Here’s an example. Had a guy that wanted Parchment, and of course it’s the same thing, hard to find. We found some, but the webbings are either stained to the point of not being able to clean them completely. And I also used a few different colors to put a complete set together for him. He sent me a New Armrest to be used for color matching. We were able to pick out a webbing color, and a dye. A lot of the dyes are never mixed to the exact color. I don’t have that issue with the 73-87 belts I do. I can get dye that’s a perfect match. So something to think about.
I don’t have a pic yet of the final set of belts. They are off getting webbed, but I think I’ll get them back today or tomorrow.

Thank you Don. I was able to locate a full set that fit my needs. I really like your retractors but the belts were not quite the color I was looking for.

Re: WTB Green seatbelts

I have the same color truck and belts as you. I’m removing the covers to make them lighter green and to add the male retractors so I don’t keep having them call out every time I get in or out. If you can use the dar green covers and light green belts I don’t use these are pretty decent. Not trying to push you to get something from me just offering you option from someone in the same situation.

Thanks for helping out TKCR. I was able to find a set that will work out for me.. But I am still looking for a middle set and wonder if you would consider selling me the middle pair from your photo of the light green belts in this picture? Are they 1969 belts? And what did you want for the whole set of three complete belts? Thanks. George
