WTB Bright Red OEM Seat Belts

Looking for a full set. Ok if stained or faded, but prefer no cracks. Must be bright red.

Re: WTB Bright Red OEM Seat Belts

Just need the standard set of 4 (for 2 people). Although a center set would be amazing.

I have a complete set for both sides of OEM belts. They need some work, but here is what is good:
1) Retractors are solid and work (but there looks to be some overspray on one, but you could put that to the inside).
2) All the metal is pretty much pit-free and shiny on the belt parts. Quite clean on all the metal parts including the bases of the retractors.
3) Good color on the belts in the retractors.
4) Everything works.

The not so god is obvious but can be dealt with:
1) Fabric fade, but that could be dyed back to a good color.
2) Belt buckle fade, but they can be removed and repainted.

So if you want to do what is needed these are available.. Not too many red belts around, and these came out of the desert.
$80. for the pair plus shipping plus PP (If they fit in a USPS Medium Flat rate box I will ship that way. I have not tried it yet because I do not have the box here.)

Re: WTB Bright Red OEM Seat Belts

5 more photos And that is NOT a crack on the buckle cover in pictures 4 and 5. It is a scratch that has years of dirt in it. And it is actually a shallow scratch that will probably no show when painted.

Re: WTB Bright Red OEM Seat Belts

The last of the photos. And not that it matters but these belts came out of an original 1970 K10 with a short wide bed. I have the VIN and the Glove box door with SPID to prove it, but the cab is long gone. (And the rest of the truck was long gone when I found the cab).

Re: WTB Bright Red OEM Seat Belts

There is good news for all those in line after 68bowtie. He bought the belts, but this week I was in Carlisle Pa at the show and found a guy who has been restoring seatbelts for 27 years. He has at least one set of red seatbelts all restored for $200. He does not use dye for his restorations. He puts in new straps. They look really nice. When I have my internet turned back on (down due to snowstorm here) I will post photos and info on this fellow. He has a lot of other belts already done and his turnaround is fast. If he has the strap color in stock he can get them done in a few days after receiving your old belts. He even puts in brand new males parts of the buckles.

Great news! I’m very interested in a set of bright red for 67-68 c10. Looking forward to hearing more about it.

Re: WTB Bright Red OEM Seat Belts

Mr Jessie Grooms restores these seatbelts for 27 years. He replaces the webbing as needed and also has new hardware where the belt attaches to the floor. And rechromes as needed. He is fast too. He told me he could get some belts done within 4 days of when he receives them. His phone number is on one of the photos. Reasonable too. In one photo there is a complete set of red belts including the retractors for $200. He has lots of samples of new belt webbing but he could not do the green I was after. But he got quite close. All the photos show all his belts that are done and ready to sell and ship to anyone. You are looking at belts for cars and trucks fro many years, but mostly GM stuff. Be sure you tell him that George told you about him. I told him to expect some business.
