WTB 1971-1972 K10 front suspension

I am trying to add PS to my recently restored 67 K10 with 292 engine. I have read so many posts on how to do this and have concluded the best advice was to swap in a front suspension from the 71-72 in order to update to Disc brakes. I live in Cooperstown NY (upstate NY) so I am hoping to not drive more than a couple hundred miles. I found one locally from a 1970 K10, but I am holding out for the later models if possible. Thanks, george

Not that I have one close to you but, what gear ratio do you need?

Good question. I do not know. I will have to take a look and pull off a cover. But I can always match them up afterwards.

I'll have to look but pretty sure I have a 71 or 72 axle, I'm in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. 71 won't have a welded bracket for steering stabilizer, the 72 will.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with. I will take a look on the map and see where you are in PA. I have to drive to Quarryville PA this week. 200 miles from me.

Looks like I'm 2 hrs from Quarryville. I'll look tomorrow and confirm on the axle, if it is I have a buddy that lives in Carlisle, that's about an hour away.

I just checked. You are 320 miles away. Almost to Maryland?

Here is a 71 that is complete, it does have an aftermarket steering stabilizer.

I have to check my axle pile but I know I have a pair of axles out of a 71-72 blazer as well. I’m 5 minutes from Quarryville actually. I’ll check tonight and get some pics.. I would have to sell the pair rather than just the front axle so idk if that would be a deal breaker for you or not..

Thanks for the photos. Looks like you have a few other items lying around. What can you tell me about the condition of this item?

Re: WTB 1971-1972 K10 front suspension

So far I have had two replies from about 300 miles away. Any one closer? Gas is a serious factor. It would cost be $250 to drive 600 miles to get these. (In my 95 K2500 with 454). But maybe it would fit
in my Prius?
