Does anyone here know how to bench pressure test an A/C STV valve or the procedure, thanks Ed...

There really isn't a reliable bench test, other that to pressure up to test for leaks. You diagnose them with the system running to check pressure and temperature differentials.

Re: A/C STV valve test...
So all you can do is replace the piston diaphragm and hope for the best, does that sound right? Thanks...

Re: A/C STV valve test...
Had to do a search for the term "STV valve", never heard it before. In the 67-72 trucks there is a POA valve. Seems to be similar. Here is a post on adjusting a POA http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&highlight=POA may help?
The other valve in the system is the TXV. Do not recommend adjusting the TXV. Which one are you referring to?
