Cargo bars for truck bed?
On occasion I throw some small things in the bed of my 68 (groceries, golf bag, etc) and came across some cargo bars that ratchet and put pressure against the inside of the bed to help secure things inside the bed so they arent flying around.
There are seemingly a few dozen brands with varying reviews (even Harbor Freight has one) and I was just curious if anyone on here uses and could recommend one before I buy? Thanks! Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Cargo bars for truck bed?
I'm not familiar with different brands and quality, but these are made for commercial trucking use, so should fill your occasional light duty needs just fine.

Re: Cargo bars for truck bed?
I have one that is in the toolbox of my 70, but it came with truck and I can't tell what brand it is. It does work well. In the past I have used cheap Walmart curtain rods that twist out to hold things. They also worked well.

Re: Cargo bars for truck bed?
I have one I got at Harbor Freight years ago. I used in my work vehicles, vans, trucks, scions. Used it for holding copiers and printers in the larger vehicle, tote size boxes of parts in the smaller ones. Never had any issues with it. I know they also sell them at Lowes and Home Depot, made in China like everything else so no idea if they are any better.

Re: Cargo bars for truck bed?
this is what I got. Simple and the "twist" vs "ratchet" tightening, IMHO, is better so not to dent bed side. I don't haul much more than coolers, folding chairs and this is easy in/out
