Upper control arm washers
1982 ½ ton C10
Cross posting this from the suspension forum. 50 looks but no responses. I need a squarebody pro. I am upgrading my 70 c10 to power steering using a 1982 doner. Ran into a problem on my suspension rebuild, 2 leftover washers in my bucket (small ones in the pic). I figured out where they go. 1 washer per upper control arm next to the rear bushing. Circled in red in the pic. The picture is a lot better on my computer, I can see them clearly. It bugs me I left them out, but they don’t appear to be needed. I can’t find them in the catalogs. I have not found a thread here of anybody using them in their rebuild, no you tube videos either. So……..can I leave them out?

Re: Upper control arm washers
Yes you can leave them out, cuz that is not where they go. They are just left over. There is nothing in the pic for scale but they look like the outer washers.

Re: Upper control arm washers
I have the 2 small washers in question laying on top of the 4 large washer that go on the end of the upper shaft in the pic above. The 2nd large washer from the left has the small washer directly on top of it. Deceptive looking in the picture. I'm really starting to think this was a assembly line thing. To expedite assembly.
