Unhappy Gas Tank Locking Cap and no Key

I have gotten everything done on the Plymouth Fury I bought, but I have no key for the gas cap. What is the best way of removing it with out screwing anything up .

Thanks

Don't use the Dremel tool; if there is gas in the tank then it might explode in your face! Maybe some vise grips?

You could haul it down to a locksmith, they could make quick work of it. Or see if one would come to you.

Thanks Mark....Happy new year to you too..... The key was worthless. The lock was all gummed up and I had to pry it off any ways.

The car had been sitting for 18 years and started right up when I hooked the guel pump directly to a gas can!! Bled the brakes and drove the car around the block today. It is amazing how well it drives... And the A/C blows cold!!!

I see you have been doing a lot of work to the 69. You will have to take me for a ride when I get up there in the spring.

Nice Car.

I drive my 72 Catalina more than any other vehicle I have. Lots of room and people tend to get out of the way of a big car. Wootdog

A/C may blow cold for now, but if the car has sat for a while you might need some oil in those lines. May save you some moola later!
