6 to V8 radiator /hoses / fan shroud

In the process of switching my 67 / 6 cylinder /3 speed over to a 350 / M-22 - 4 speed I've had to do a LOT of digging for the parts that fit and look good and work at the same time . I started with the Champion CC-369 radiator from Ebay $239.20 it fit great and the only adjustment I needed to make was moving the lower passenger side mount over and the front core support is already set up to do that . I found a 6 blade fan off the parts board for $10.00 from another member and used Hayden Fan Clutch 2705 from Summit $24.99 , The original radiator mounts worked ( with slight adjustment) using new rubber from Truck and car store $9.00 , I used Gates upper hose 20827 and lower hose 20694 From Amazon about $28.00 . The fan shroud came from LMC 32-2825 $59.95 and it fit pretty good ( the only thing I've ever ordered from them ) They had the best price . Maybe this will help someone else chasing parts that work . Now I can pull it all back apart and finish the body work

Re: 6 to V8 radiator /hoses / fan shroud

My battle was similar, except the bottom hose fitting on the Champion 4 core was curved upward making every hose known to man, impossible to use. I ended up with a flex hose on the bottom. Glad it worked out for you.

That thing is sweet, just like we did it in HS. On weekends we would choose which car to work on, then take it to Atco or Maple Grove

One guy had a 56 corvette w/375hp small block, fastest car on the street

Did you chrome your center dumps

Are those speedway corvette 2.5 inch manifolds.

Your stuff always looks so clean.

Re: 6 to V8 radiator /hoses / fan shroud

I found the Chrome 2.5" manifolds at Jegs a few years ago on sale for $127.00 . I'm building the truck with simple systems , No computers , No airbags , No high tech stereo ( AM radio with an 8-track ) Just a truck to cruise around the old back roads without a bunch of potential gremlins . Thanks .

Old school is still cool

Re: 6 to V8 radiator /hoses / fan shroud

Looks good! Looks like the V8 is in the forward 2WD position? Mine was set up in the I6/4WD position further back, so I kept it there and got a 4WD fan shroud from LMC.

I wanted to use the M-22 Muncie transmission , The 67 stock bellhousing has the correct size output hole to fit the Muncie trans 68-72 don't without a spacer , So I bought a V8 manual trans crossmember off the parts board and removed the 6 crossmember and installed the V8 one ,That let me put the engine in the stock V8 position using the V8 mounts in the front holes like GM did . It all started with the engine /bellhousing and trans I already had . Project creep occurred .

I just decided to build my "last" new truck the way I wanted it without payments or computers .
