The PO had left the tbi harness in when they had changed to the 454, now Im mid change to a cummins and would like to get rid of it and clean up the harness in the engine a little. What is safe to get rid of and what do I need to keep?

Re: TBI wire harness removal help
The tbi harness is stand alone. Reach behind the glove box and unhook the harness from the computer. Push the big plug out of the firewall that is right under the relays, and work the two computer connectors thru to the engine side. There should be a hot feed or two and you may have to work the temp and oil sensor wires for the gauges out the harness.

Re: TBI wire harness removal help
The TBI harness also has a small connector somewhere behind the radio that gets unplugged. This connector goes to the obd1 port and the check engine light.
