Best A/C unit for 66 GMC Burb?
Hey Guys, I haven't found anything on what people are using for air conditioning yet. I mean, besides paying out the nose for Oldair or Vintage Air that is. I know there are some units from newer models that have been used, but I cant find anything yet. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

As a fellow 66 GMC burb owner I can tell you that the Old Air Hurricane system I have installed has performed flawlessly. All the aftermarket systems work very well, each installs slightly different giving you the option to choose which one fits your needs.

Re: Best A/C unit for 66 GMC Burb?
Day 1: Found him in a field. Had been owned and dailyed by a Farrier. Found horse shoe nails in the ash tray. So I named him B.O.B. ( Beast of Burban)
Parts: Classic Industries 4/2 drop with drop spindles and 6 lug conversion. Wiring, etc, etc. After 77 Chevy front end installed, drop suspension, hei dizzy, flowmaster exhaust. V6 was still chugging along. Realized daily driving the v6 was a time bomb bcuz just gaskets for the old man were over $1500. So, V6 out, 2001 LS 5.3 IronBottom w/ 4l60E going in. Today. LS in, Holley TerminatorX/Quick4 Trans Controller, Full Hooker Blackheart Exhaust, Brothers Truck Fuel Tank. Running and Driving. Still to do: Full Autowire 24 harness Holley 12" Display molded in to dash All Seals (Windows, Doors, Etc) Full Custom Interior (I own an Custom Upholstery shop, So thats the easy part) All new Brake and Fuel Lines A/C ..... and so on. |

Thanks for sharing the pics and back story, job well done! I sure miss Early Classic Enterprises. I spy a new set of leaf springs in one of the pics, are they stock height replacements or?
