C10 service body
Did C10's come with service bodies from upfitters? It seems to me it would be a C20 atleast.
I am looking to trade for one, and the guy says it has 5 lugs. Secondly it's a 86. So for my california friends. How bad is smogging going to be for the truck. |

But, since the frames are similar, it's easy enough to swap a service body on to a 1/2 chassis for a 'custom' truck or swap the 3/4 ton chassis parts to 1/2 to spec stuff.

If I get the truck. The bed is coming off for a trailer build. Then I will either buy a long or short bed depending on my desire for a project. |

Re: C10 service body
Double check the VIN. It might be a C20 that a PO swapped in 1/2 ton spindles and rear axle for 'reasons' sometime in the past.

He also says it has a 305 due to stickers on the core support. Which wouldn't be in a C20 as far as I understand. Either way I want it. At a minimum it's easier for me to fix, drop a bed on, and sell. If not ditch the Durango I have, and have two squares |

Re: C10 service body
I don’t know about the 73-up, but do know there were service bodies installed on 64-72 swb half tons, as a family member used to have a few he ordered for his business.
