Chevys 50 years apart
pretty cool to have your grandpa in the shot with the newborn lol. just got the 2022 chevy, had to do the 50 years apart photo.. probably do a few more cuz, why not. Old long horn still holds it own against the new one.

Man that’s a good idea I might have to do the same when I get back home from vacation with my K20 and my new ‘22 silverado.

Re: Chevys 50 years apart
I can’t speak for the 1/2 tons but the L8T 6.6 gas motor in the 3/4 and 1 tons is no slouch by any means. It pulls a good bit harder than the 6.0 in my ‘18 ever did. Same 6L90 behind them both and 4:11’s in the ‘18 and 3:73’s in the ‘22. So the new truck is at a bit of a gearing disadvantage and stills pulls a good bit harder.

Re: Chevys 50 years apart
Amazing how far trucks have come in 50 years. But all in all, I like the simplicity of an old truck.

Re: Chevys 50 years apart
Am I the only one that thinks the new Chevy trucks (especially the HDs) are the ugliest trucks on the market? Some of these trucks are so ugly I'd buy a F0rd first.
How did we go from the GMT400 to this mess of styling. So busy. Minivan A-pillars. Hood too tall. Grille too busy. So many add ons disrupting the lines. Compared to the GMT400 which forms a design statement at the grille and follows that through to the tailgate.

I bought a 2016 GMC Duramax crew cab only because of resale value when I get ready to turn it loose. I don't get why Chevrolet has gone the way of not giving you what you want. I would buy a new Trail Boss with a 5.3 in a heartbeat if it came in a reg cab swb. But only available in the middle east.

Agreed, though I would take a good long look at a Ram before a Ford....
