68 body side molding question???

Any one know the real difference in the fenders on a 68 vs a 69?
I have a 69 C10 (short and wide) and would really like to put 68 side molding on it along with a 71 grill but I don't know if the puzzle will fit.
May sound crazy but I think the purfect look is the 68 molding and the 71 grill. 69 has toooooo much body molding but I do want "some" chrome on the side. Also, if anyone knows the color on the truck on the Early Classic catolog let me know. My ideal truck would be that one with a 71 grill.
I appreciate all the help I can get including that I am nuts and going the wrong way.
Thanks

Your 69 fenders will take the 71/72 grill, and the 68 trim should fit up.

The very front of the fender is different...where the grill would wrap around the fender on a 69 & up.

There's one here in town with the 68 molding on it. Fits fine.

Like Tx Firefighter says the moldings will match up fine. The fender differences are above where the moldings mount. WES www.CalssicHeartbeat.com
