Dash

Is the dash welded in or just bolts???

Found a video, to much work for me

since it is hard for some of us old dudes to remember who has what year or series of truck, I will ask.
what year is your truck?
55-59 the dash is spot welded in along the window pinch weld as a sandwich with the outer cowl metal in there as well and again on each side at the rear lower area there is another strap that holds it to the A pillar.
you can see the assembly spot weld locations in the assembly manual available as a free download from the tri5 site
yup, a lot of work.
what is your plan with the dash, remove and replace with a better or new one? remove and make it easier to repair the existing dash? remove and install a completely different dash from something else?

I was going to take it out so I could work on it easer for adding the lower dash.
I will just deal with it.

This topic can be deleted if someone want's to.
